# Information about using docker to start up various DB to test/develop on Alfresco projects locally
In order not to duplicate information, please see this [page](https://git.alfresco.com/Repository/team-wiki/wikis/database-setup)
You will find there all the information about the commands you need to run to start a particular DB locally with docker.
You will also find the properties that you need to specify in your *alfresco-global.properties* file and the drivers that you need to place somewhere in the class path of your application.
Hint: if you don't know where to put the drivers, (and you are in a hurry) you can always put them in the .../java/jdk_*something*/jre/lib/ext folder or java/jre/lib/ext folder of the JVM your application uses. Please keep track of what drivers you placed where- as you may end up with different versions, or conflicts.
The same DB images are used by the Repository team for the official DB tests that we run on bamboo: https://bamboo.alfresco.com/bamboo/browse/PLAT-ER and https://bamboo.alfresco.com/bamboo/browse/PLAT-REP
